My name is Madeleine Davison. I’m a 2020 graduate of Syracuse University with a dual degree in journalism and sociology. While at SU, I also competed in DI cross country and track.

I’m passionate about using data for social justice. I love finding stories in spreadsheets, and huge .csv files don’t scare me.

I’ve worked as a Dow Jones News Fund data journalism intern in Washington, D.C. and have completed the IRE/NICAR bootcamp in R, SQL, and Excel. I’m a meticulous researcher and fact-checker with a knack for accuracy.

I also love the human side of journalism. I feel honored to share a few moments in the lives of a wide variety of people, and to learn new things every day from those I encounter.

When I’m not reporting, I love running trails, roller skating, and doing crossword puzzles.
